This book focused on the relationship between Crew and Scar. They don't start out wanting to share, so I'm super curious to see how it all comes together. It seems each book will focus on the romantic element with each guy. What I really loved about this book is the slow build of the relationship. Crew, the boy she once gave her heart to, only to have it be crushed. And in all fairness, she doesn't start, but she does finish it. This is a girl that's not afraid to throw punches. I loved Scar's sassiness, even if at times she was almost a bit much. I was immediately drawn into the dynamics of this story and the characters. They pulled a lot of strings and manipulation to get Scarlett right where they want her, and now they're going to throw her deep into the games of their society's initiation rights. The three kings of the school by birthright and power. Neo, Crew, and Jagger are known as the Lawless. Suddenly she finds herself at the same school as her three tormentors, who rule the school. But the torment that started when she was a little girl hasn't let up. Now she's older, and doesn't take any sh*t. The immediate object of dislike from Neo, and his two best friends that followed suit. Growing up, she was the one on the outskirts of the group. This is a tough as nails FMC that isn't afraid to stand up for herself. Scarlett is a heroine that I immediately liked. “You are a dirty-talking wh*re, you know that?” I carry her back to where she belongs-back pressed to the shelf. If you worked your fingers inside my p*ssy as well as you do around my neck, I might be coming right now.”

And boy am I glad I did! Because this seriously hit the spot I didn't even know I had. I tried and DNFd several until I somehow landed on a recommendation for this book on my Amazon KU list. I have been desperately looking for an academia, bully, why choose romance that would hit the spot just right. She’s the only girl in the world who makes me wanna slap her and fuck her at the same time.
